2012 golden Olympic champion Ryota Murata (13-1, 10 KO) took revenge over former world champion Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam (36-3, 21 KOs) gaining stoppage victory when the Frenchman refused to continue after the seventh round. This May also in Japan Murata lost to N'Jiikam via controversial split decision.
At the moment of the stoppage Murata was leading on all three cards: 69-64, 68-65 and 70-63. As a result of the fight, Ryota got WBA middleweight title.
