On September 27 the Palace of Sport in Kiev hosted an evening of mixed martial arts WWFC 8. The event was headlined by the fight for the vacant middleweight title between Ukrainian Sergey Guzev and Leandro Bispo from Brazil.

On the second minute of the starting round Guzev managed to make a successful transfer to the ground, where he demonstrated excellent control, periodically blowing the head and body of his opponent. 30 seconds before the end of the round Bispo made a mistake and gave the back to the Ukrainian, who took full advantage of this – Sergey skillfully conducted a stifling reception, becoming the new WWFC champion in middleweights.

In the second main event of the evening the champion in featherweight division Hasan Askhabov from Luxembourg successfully defended his title in the fight against Serb Dragan Pesic. A Chechen soldier demonstrated cold-bloodedness and boundless confidence in his own abilities, while the Balkans remembered only bold antics and attempts to transfer to the ground. In the middle of the first round Pesic made an unsuccessful pass to his feet after which Askhabov brought heavy blows to his head - the referee immediately interrapted.
