UFC top Armenian lightweight Arman Tsarukyan said he spent the initial part of his training camp for his fight with Brazilian Charles Oliveira with the team of former Pride heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko.
"I started my training in Russia, in the highlands on Elbrus - we spent the first part of the training camp there with Fedor Emelianenko's team. I spent two weeks with them and it was great. Fedor is big, so we didn't train together, but he has a big team with a lot of lightweights.
We trained together, helped each other - it was cool. Even if you don't spar with Fedor, his presence in the same gym with you is very inspiring and motivating. I'm very grateful to him for that," Tsarukyan said on the air of The MMA Hour show.
Recall that the fight Oliveira - Tsarukyan will take place on April 13 at the show UFC 300 in Las Vegas.
