Former interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje said he would like to fight current full titleholder Islam Makhachev in November.

Gatji will square off against Max Holloway on April 13 at UFC 300 in Las Vegas, USA.

"The ideal scenario is this. Tsarukyan and Oliveira fight was called a contender fight, so the winner will fight Makhachev in June. And I'll go out to the winner of that fight in November at a show in New York. For me, it's the perfect time. I will have time to rest, recover, then regain my form and prepare for the title fight. It's a perfect situation," MMA Junkie quoted the American as saying.
