Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway has responded to critics who are unhappy with his decision to fight in the lightweight division.

On April 13 at the UFC 300 anniversary event in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, Holloway will fight Justin Gaethje for the symbolic BMF ("Badgest Bastard") title.

"I'm tired of everybody telling me what I should think, how I should act, putting limitations on me. If you put limits on yourself, don't put them on others. For you guys, the limit is the sky, and I'm reaching for a star, for other universes. We are different," Holloway stated on his YouTube channel.

Recall that Holloway has not appeared in the octagon since last August, when he knocked out Jong Seong-Jon.
