Burns: "Either I win this title or I die."

Former UFC welterweight belt challenger Gilbert Burns made it clear he hasn't given up on his dream of becoming champion following his early loss to Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 299 in March.

"I'm never going to give up. I'm either going to win this title or I'm going to die trying to do it. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. It didn't work out this time, but there's no sad story behind it, no excuses. I had a very good fight, had a great training camp, did a lot of things right, but made a mistake and lost.

It didn't knock me out of the title race, it just motivated me even more to develop. I'm going to rest, recover. I'll be back in August or September at the latest, I want to fight," MMA Mania quoted Burns as saying.
