Mark Coleman is in intensive care after rescuing his parents from a house fire in Ohio

UFC Hall of Fame member Mark Coleman was hospitalized after a house fire in Ohio Tuesday morning, the fighter's close family and friends confirmed on social media.

According to his daughter Morgan's Instagram post, Coleman was taken by air ambulance to a nearby hospital in Toledo after carrying both of his parents out of a house fire in Fremont. Mark also attempted to rescue his dog, but he died from the effects of the fire.

"As many already know, our dad was in the fire along with his parents and his beloved dog Hammer. He managed to get his parents out of the house, but despite his best efforts, he was unable to save the dog. He was rushed to the hospital where he is now still fighting for his life after such a heroic act.

Our father has always been a hero to us and meant a lot to us, to say the least. He has always been a true fighter. He is the strongest and bravest man I know. Please continue to pray for him and our family during this difficult time. Thank you all for your support and love," Morgan wrote.
