Nurmagomedov and Shabliy will have a title fight on May 17 in Paris

A Bellator lightweight title fight between champion Usman Nurmagomedov and Alexander Shabliy will headline the promotion's next tournament in Paris, which will take place at the Accor Arena on May 17.

Nurmagomedov will appear in the cage for the first time since he received a six-month suspension for a positive doping test following his fight with Brent Primus last October. Usman's win by unanimous judges' decision was overturned, but Bellator did not strip him of his title after it was revealed that his positive test was caused by a prescription medication containing a banned substance.

As for Chablia, he will get his first chance to win Bellator gold after a 5-0 streak in the promotion, which includes a win over former champion Patricky Pitbull.
