Former interim UFC featherweight champion Yair Rodriguez commented on the defeat from Brian Ortega at the UFC Fight Night 237 tournament in Mexico City.

Let us remind you that the Mexican lost by choke in the third round.

“Yesterday everything didn’t work out in my favor. I can only thank God that I was able to walk away without any injuries or damage. Thanks to my team for supporting me despite all the ups and downs. I am also grateful to the fans who are always with me, despite the result. I felt this support that the Mexican fans always give me when I fight.

I'm still strong and moving forward. I can’t say much right now. The only thing I can do is accept what happened. I will continue to fight for a better future. Thank you Mexico. Love you all,” Yair wrote on Instagram.
