Ortega is ready to fight Topuria in Spain

Former UFC featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega announced his readiness to become the next opponent of the current division champion Ilia Topuria.

On the night of February 25 at the UFC Fight Night 237 tournament in Mexico City, Mexico, Ortega won Yair Rodriguez by choke in the third round.

“Volkanovski was a great champion. The fact that people are now writing him off is a disrespect for his achievements. If Alex decides that he doesn’t want to fight and takes a break, then I will happily go to Spain,” Ortega said at a press conference.

Let us remind you that Topuria won the belt on February 17 at the UFC 298 show, knocking out Alexander Volkanovski in the second round. Later, the Spaniard of Georgian origin expressed his desire to hold the first defense in Madrid.
