Former WBA, WBO and IBF world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua may become a reserve fighter in a fight between the current holder of these belts Alexander Usik and WBC champion Tyson Fury.
According to AJ's promoter Eddie Hearn, if the Briton confidently deals with Francis Ngannou in March and does not suffer damage, he may agree to insure the fight for the title of absolute champion in May.
“The amazing thing is that Joshua will box four times in eleven months. It's great. At some point he will need a rest, but if Anthony copes well with Ngannou and gets that opportunity, then he will be ready to fight Fury or Usyk,” Hearn said in an interview with talkSPORT.
