Former interim UFC lightweight champion, American Dustin Poirier doubts that he will one day share the octagon with a former compatriot of the promotion Nate Diaz.
“We talked to the UFC a little bit about Nate, but I don’t think they’ll bring him back to the promotion. I don’t know, I don’t want to dive into all this. Apparently, this fight will no longer take place, and I don’t know how much longer I will compete. It seems that I have six more fights left on my contract with the organization, and Nate is now focused on boxing.
So I can’t imagine how our paths will cross with him. But I really wanted to fight this guy because I grew up watching his fights,” MMA Fighting quotes Poirier as saying.
