WBO world champion in first welterweight American Teofimo Lopez (20-1, 13 KO) defended his belt from the attacks of his compatriot Jamain Ortiz (17-2-1, 8 KOs) in the main event of the boxing evening from Top Rank in Las Vegas, USA.

In the first half of the fight, Ortiz successfully worked as number two, moved a lot and counterattacked in series. Lopez couldn’t cut the corners of the ring, but he tried to throw punches to the body. After the equator, the champion increased the pace of the battle and began to actively apply pressure, while the challenger was unable to give a worthy answer - he acted too passively and failed in the ending.

At the end of the meeting, all three judges scored the fight in favor of Lopez (117-111, 115-113, 115-113).
