UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev outlined the timing of his return to the Octagon.
“I will have my next fight in June or July. I work out every day—nothing serious, just keeping in shape. I’m a champion, so I always have to be ready — everyone wants to take my belt,” the Dagestani MMA Squad quotes.
Makhachev fought his last fight in October last year at the UFC 294 tournament in Abu Dhabi, UAE, knocking out Alexander Volkanovski in the first round.
Let us remember that earlier the head of the promotion, Dana White, noted that Islam’s next opponent will be the winner of the fight between Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan, which will take place on April 13 at the UFC 300 show in Las Vegas.
