Filip Hrgovic (17-0 14 KOs) is unlikely to fight Alexander Usik next, which he, in his own words, really wanted, but the Croatian was offered other very interesting options. Hrgovic is the mandatory challenger for the IBF world heavyweight title. In less than two weeks he will not appear in the ring, but Prince Turki Alalshih has made him an offer to fight on March 8th as part of another big Saudi boxing evening, Joshua vs. Ngannou.
Hrgovic was offered six candidates to choose from. The Croatian's opponents could be Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs), Jared Anderson (16-0, 15 KOs), Frank Sanchez (24-0, 17 KOs), Agit Kabayel (24-0, 16 KOs), Jarrell Miller (26-1-1, 22 KOs), or Martin Bakole (20-1, 15 KOs).
Hrgovic achieved International Boxing Federation challenger status after defeating Zhang Zhilei a year and a half ago.
