Illustrious former undisputed world champion in the heavyweight category Lennox Lewis reacted to the news that the long-awaited fight between the holder of the WBA, WBO and IBF titles in the same division Alexander Usik and WBC champion Tyson Fury will be rescheduled.
The fight was supposed to take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but the Briton received a cut during sparring and announced his refusal to compete.
“The cut is in the same place as the one he received in the duel with Wallin. He will likely need six stitches and three months to recover. The saga continues,” Lewis wrote on his X page.
