Shakur Stevenson: 'I'm officially retiring from boxing'

WBC lightweight champion title holder Shakur Stevenson unexpectedly announced his retirement from professional boxing.

“I am officially retiring from boxing. I will always be in the gym, improving my craft, helping the next generation become great and chasing their dreams. “I am against this weak boxing game,” Stevenson wrote on his page on the social network X.

What caused this decision by the undefeated boxer is still unknown.

Let us remind you that 26-year-old Stevenson performed his last performance on November 17 in the main event of the Top Rank evening in Las Vegas, USA. The American, in an extremely boring confrontation, defeated Dominican Edwin de los Santos by unanimous decision. Thus, Shakur won the championship title in his third weight category.
