O'Malley: "I don't think the fight with Vera will last five rounds"

UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O'Malley expressed confidence that he would be able to win an early victory in the fight with Marlon Vera, which will take place on March 9 at UFC 299 in Miami.

“I don’t think our fight will last five rounds. I have no doubt that I will finish this guy, but I am also ready for war. I'll break it. I don't think he'll be able to get ahead of me.

For some reason, everyone thinks that I don’t know how to fight, and they rely on the ground. They also often say that I allegedly have problems with stamina. I have everything. I can do everything. So I will finish Marlon. I'm too fast, too abrupt, and too focused. I’ll get this guy out of my way,” the American is quoted as saying by MMA Junkie.

Let us remember that O’Malley and Vera have already met in the Octagon. Their first fight took place in August 2020 and ended with the Ecuadorian winning by technical knockout in the first round.
