The Ukrainian Embassy in Canada made a statement after Beterbiev’s words about Kadyrov

The Ukrainian embassy in Canada rightly criticized the unified world light heavyweight boxing champion Artur Beterbiev for supporting Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov.

“The Ukrainian Embassy in Canada is shocked that Artur Beterbiev glorifies the leader of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in his speech after a boxing fight in Canada.

Another proof that there is no political neutrality of Russian athletes,” says a statement on the embassy’s official website.

Let us remind you that on January 14, Beterbiev, who lives in Canada and competes under its flag, made another defense of his titles, defeating Callum Smith ahead of schedule.
