Unified World Light Heavyweight Champion Artur Beterbiev told how long he plans to continue his sports career. The Canadian will turn 39 on January 21st.

ā€œI donā€™t plan to surpass Hopkinsā€™ record. He seemed to be a champion at 49 years old. I donā€™t need this achievement, but Iā€™ll be performing for another three, four or five years. I want to be more active and fight more often.

As long as I am healthy, I will continue. I always ask my fitness trainers if I'm getting worse. So far they answer that Iā€™m only progressing,ā€ Boxing Scene quotes Beterbiev.

Let us remind you that today, January 14, Beterbiev knocked out Callum Smith in the seventh round.
