Former contender for the UFC light heavyweight belt Magomed Ankalaev commented on the victory on Joni Walker in the main event of UFC Fight Night 234 in Las Vegas.
The Dagestani knocked out the Brazilian in the second round.
“I prepared diligently for this fight, asking for revenge right away. I want to fight for the belt. I have 10 fights in a row, give me a fight for the belt. Everyone who comes against me is trying to find the key to me. But not everyone succeeds.
When I step into the octagon, I start hunting. And they don’t succeed. I have nothing personal with Joni, this is our job. It turned out that the previous fight did not take place. We have closed this issue here, that’s all,” Ankalaev said in an Octagon interview.
Let us remind you that the first fight between Ankalaev and Walker took place in October last year and was declared invalid. Magomed delivered an illegal knee strike to the head, after which the doctor made a controversial decision to remove the Brazilian.
