Information has been officially confirmed that on February 8 at the Top Rank evening in Las Vegas, the WBO world champion in super lightweight Teofimo Lopez (19-1, 13 KO) will fight against Jamain Ortiz (17-1-1, 8 KOs).
Lopez is set to fight two times in the first half of the year. The New Yorker is planning a unification fight with IBF champion Suberiel Mathias in June.
For Ortiz, this will be the first fight for the world title in his career. In his last performance, the 27-year-old athlete won on points against Antonio Moran.
The same evening will also feature a fight between rated lightweight Keyshawn Davis (9-0, 6 KOs) and former two-division world champion Jose Pedraza (29-5-1, 14 KOs).
