Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia's teams begin negotiations

Negotiations have begun on a fight between the WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs). The fight could take place in the first half of next year in the United States.

Garcia said on social media that he has instructed his promoters to enter into negotiations with Haney's representatives. The current World Boxing Council champion also confirmed negotiations in this regard.

In his last professional appearance, Haney won on points against Regis Prograis. Garcia defeated Oscar Duarte in early December.
