American veteran of the UFC featherweight division Josh Emmett admitted that the fight against Georgian Gigi Chikadze no longer appeals to him.
Let us remind you that the meeting between these fighters was supposed to take place at the last UFC 296 tournament, but Chikadze withdrew due to injury. As a result, Josh knocked out Bryce Mitchell with a terrible knockout.
“I definitely don’t want to fight Chikadze anymore. I want to get back into the race for the belt. Fighting guys below me in the rankings is too much of a risk for little reward. They offer nothing but risk. I want to fight someone who can help me get a title shot,” Emmett is quoted as saying by MMA News.
