White commented on Makhachev’s desire to fight Edwards

UFC head Dana White spoke out about the lightweight champion's words Islam Makhacheva, who previously announced his readiness to fight the belt holder in the welterweight division Leon Edwards.

“We had lunch with him a couple of days ago. We didn't really talk about fighting. We talked about family and other things. I don’t know yet, but I would like to see him at lightweight,” White said at a press conference.

Let us remind you that today, December 17, in the main event of UFC 296. Edwards defeated Covington by unanimous decision and defended his title.
