WBA flyweight champion Artem Dalakian (17-0, 12 KOs) successfully defended his title with a TKO victory in the eighth round over official challenger Sirichai Thaiyen (50-4, 35 KOs) from Thailand. Thaiyen was knocked down in the fifth, seventh and eighth rounds from right hands to the head. At the end of the eighth round the referee decided that it was enough for Thaiyen and stopped the fight at 2:54.

Oleg Efimovich, the coach of the WBA flyweight champion Artem Dalakian, described how the Ukrainian was preparing for his first title defense against the Thai Sirichai Thaiyen: "The preparation took place for five weeks, we had a very good camp. Artem had five high-level sparring partners: two Englishmen, two Filipinos, and one of our guys - Arnold Hehai from Odessa.”

WBA flyweight champion Artem Dalakian (16-0, 11 KOs) will hold his first title defense on June 17 in Kiev. Dalakyan's opponent will be the mandatory challenger for his title Sirichai Thaiyen (50-3, 35 KOs) of Thailand. The fight will take place in the open air at the helipad at Parkovy Center in Kiev.
