Born on January 27, 1994 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Lucas Andrew Bahdi grew up in a supportive family; his father George Bahdi is a well-known local builder, which afforded Lucas a stable upbringing. Of Italian and Palestinian heritage, Lucas’s early years were shaped by both cultural richness and community encouragement. As an amateur, he honed his skills under the guidance of coaches at Irwin Boxing Club and became a three-time national champion, earning recognition as Best Male Boxer at the 2015 Elite Nationals in Mississauga.
Bahdi turned professional on May 25, 2019, launching his career across venues in Mexico and Canada. Seeking to establish himself, he personally financed many of his early bouts—reportedly investing over $100,000—demonstrating his determination and willingness to risk everything for his ambition. Competing in the lightweight division, he quickly emerged as a powerful finisher: by his 19th fight, he remained undefeated with a 19-0-0 record, capturing 15 victories by knockout—a striking 78.9 percent knockout rate.
The defining moment of his career came in July 2024, when, on just three weeks’ notice, Bahdi stepped in against previously unbeaten prospect Ashton “H2O” Sylve. Trailing on the scorecards through five rounds, Bahdi unleashed a sudden three-punch combination capped by a left hook that ended the bout in violent fashion—later celebrated as 2024’s Knockout of the Year. That spectacular finish earned him a contract with Most Valuable Promotions, the promotional outfit led by Jake Paul. With continued success—including subsequent dominant wins over Armando Casamonica and Ryan Racaza—Bahdi has solidified his status as a rising contender on the path toward world-title opportunities.
