Former two-weight world champion Badoo "The Ripper" Jack (27-3-3, 16 KOs), who competes in the cruiserweight division, won a split decision over the previously undefeated Richard "Popeye the Sailor" Rivera (21-1, 16 KOs) . Rivera was more active and Jack was throwing more clean shots. The eighth round lasted more than four minutes, and in that extra minute, Jack inflicted the most damage on his opponent. Judges scores: 96-94, 96-94 to Jack, 96-94 to Rivera.

Mairis Briedis (26-1, 20 KOs) and Yunier Dorticos (24-1, 22 KOs) met for the first time face to face immediately after their victorious fights in Riga. Briedis and Dorticos this autumn will have to fight for Mohammed Ali Trophy and two championship cruiserweight belts.
