The unified world champion in the heavyweight division, Oleksandr Usyk, has publicly stated for the first time that he has already determined the exact date of his retirement from professional boxing.
In an exclusive interview with his promotional company Usyk17 Promotions, the Ukrainian boxer revealed that he is not just contemplating the end of his career, but already knows the specific day when he will step out of the ring for the last time.
"I know the exact date when I will leave the ring. Currently, I am actively preparing the next generation of fighters who will carry on our mission. We want their hands to be raised in victory—and we will do everything to make that happen," said Usyk.
As of today, the 39-year-old Usyk has an impeccable professional record: 24 wins (15 by knockout) with no defeats.
