Christian Mbilli (29-0-1, 24 KO) became the full WBC super-middleweight champion. Previously, the Frenchman held the interim World Boxing Council title, but after the retirement of Terence Crawford, the 30-year-old boxer gained the status of full champion.
Mbilli's last fight took place in September, which he drew with Lester Martinez. In June, he won the WBC interim title by knocking out Maciej Sulecki in the first round.
Mbilli is expected to return to the ring in the spring, although his opponent has not yet been announced. A possible option for Mbilli is a rematch with Martinez.
