The Miami Gardens Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for WBA lightweight champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis. The 31-year-old American boxer is suspected of serious offenses related to a domestic violence incident that occurred on October 27, 2024.
Davis is accused of assault, unlawful imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping of a child. Officials provide very few details, but it is already clear that the situation involves a child and is classified as a particularly serious crime.
It was this October incident that became the main reason for the disruption of one of the most anticipated crossover fights â the Gervonta Davis vs. Jake Paul fight, which was planned for the fall of 2025 and was already being actively promoted.
It is worth adding that there has been no official comment from Davis's team yet.
