Dubois' team wants a fight with Wardley

The team of former world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois is actively seeking a high-profile fight to bring the Briton back to the ring after his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. 'Dynamite' manager Sam Jones openly expressed interest in a fight with current WBO titleholder Fabio Wardley, calling the match the most lucrative for the champion.

'I would be incredibly pleased to arrange a fight with Wardley. Fabio is the champion, so it would be a voluntary title defense. But let's face it: besides Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Oleksandr Usyk, Daniel Dubois is the biggest name in the division that can bring Wardley maximum money and attention,' says a source in the boxer's team quoting Jones.

Jones emphasized that if Wardley does get the chance to unify with Usyk (though the Ukrainian, according to recent reports, is leaning towards a fight with Deontay Wilder), it would be a well-deserved opportunity for Fabio. 'But if not, then Dubois is ready. We can organize this fight very quickly, literally in the coming months.'

This challenge fits into Dubois' plans for 2026: after the second stoppage by Usyk last year, the Briton changed trainers, hired a new manager, and plans to return to the top of the heavyweight division. Wardley, in turn, has just become the full WBO champion following Usyk's title relinquishment and plans his first defense in the spring
