Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KO) confirmed his return to the ring in early 2026. On December 21, 2024, the "Gypsy King" lost a rematch to Oleksandr Usyk and announced his retirement. It wasn't the first time the Briton had announced his departure from big sports, so few believed that such a situation would last long. A year has passed, the former champion has gained a lot of weight, but he is ready to return to the ring.
"2026 is the year of my return. I've been away for a long time, but I'm back. I'm 37 years old, and I can still punch. And there's nothing better than punching people in the face and getting paid for it," Fury said.
Tyson recently sparred with WBC bridgerweight champion Kevin Lerena. Earlier there were rumors that his first opponent after returning could be the two-meter-tall Arslanbek Makhmudov (21-2, 19 KO).
