The unified world champion in light heavyweight Dmitry Bivol (24-1, 12 KOs) has completed rehabilitation after spinal surgery conducted in August. According to Eddie Hearn, he plans to return to the ring next spring.
In his next fight, the 34-year-old boxer is expected to face one of the official contenders for his light heavyweight titles. If he doesn’t suffer any additional injuries after this fight, a third match between Bivol and Artur Beterbiev may take place at the end of next year.
The boxers have previously met twice — Beterbiev won the first fight, and Bivol won the rematch. Beterbiev planned to return to the ring in November, but his fight was canceled.
