Lopez-Stevenson on January 31 in Riyadh

The fight between WBC lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) and WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) is scheduled for January 31. The fight is expected to take place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Negotiations between the fighters have been ongoing for some time, and it seems that official confirmation is expected soon. Both fighters recently participated in events organized by Turki Al Sheikh.

Stevenson has fought twice this year, securing a unanimous decision victory over William Zepeda in July. Lopez defeated Arnold Barboza in May. This will be Stevenson's debut in the super lightweight category and a chance to win a title in his third division.
