De Ridder: "I will be a tough opponent for Chimaev"

Dutch middleweight UFC fighter Renier de Ridder assessed his chances in a potential fight with the division champion Khamzat Chimaev.

"From a skills perspective, I will be a tough opponent. I can take him down and pin him, which no one has done to him before. If he takes me down, I will be dangerous from the bottom position. And if I'm on top, I will have good chances to choke him," said de Ridder in an interview with the UFC press service.

Recall that this upcoming weekend, de Ridder is set to face Brendan Allen in the main event of UFC Fight Night 262 in Vancouver, Canada.
