Croatian super bantamweight Filip Hrgovic is confident he will emerge victorious in his upcoming fight against Joe Joyce.
"He's slow as fog. His next nickname should sound like Joe 'Fog' Joyce. He's very slow. I don't know how he's going to knock me out, but we'll see on Saturday. He's a good fighter, a gutsy man, just like me. It's definitely going to be a good fight.
He's 40 years old. 39? Okay, I didn't know that. If he's 39, he's young. I thought he was 40. But he's definitely not at the peak of his career, and fighters get older. It's just the way things are. I'm seven years younger, and I think that will play a role in our fight.
I took the fight on short notice. I only had a few weeks, but I was already in good shape. That's why I accepted the fight. I think it's a good opportunity for me. Hopefully a win will put me back on top. I'm looking forward to winning on Saturday when I knock him out and get back on top. That's my plan," Hrgovic said.
Recall that Hrgovic's fight with Joyce will take place on April 5 in Manchester, England.
