Tom Leffler, promoter of Ukrainian first middleweight fighter Serhiy Bogachuk, said that his ward may face IBF champion Bahram Murtazaliev in his next fight.
"He's just targeting another big fight. Bogachuk will headline the show at UFC Fight Pass in June, but if the opportunity comes up to fight Bahram for the IBF title or Sebastian Fundora, who Sergey was supposed to face last year, we'll take it.
Madrimov would be a great opponent for him, even though Israil withdrew from their fight scheduled for December. It's a great fight. I'm working on organizing a great fight.
We won't shelve Bogachuk if this fight doesn't happen in a realistic time frame. He will make an appearance on our show. Then we'll see what we can set up for him in the fall," Leffler told BoxingScene.
