The British Boxing Board of Control has imposed a 100,000 pound fine on Chris Eubank Jr (34-3, 25 KOs) over an incident the Briton committed during the press conference announcing his fight with Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs).
Eubank Jr. smashed an egg on his opponent's head during the face-off, which was thought to be a reference to Benn's history of attributing his positive doping tests in the past to excessive egg consumption.
The Eubank Jr. vs. Benn fight that English fans have been waiting for will be the main event of the evening, which takes place on April 26 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
