Former world heavyweight champion Tony Bellew shared his expectations for WBO interim heavyweight titleholder Joseph Parker's fight against Martin Bakole.
"Look, I give credit to both guys for coming out and putting on this terrific fight, because it's a great fight that was put together at the last minute. Parker should get the upper hand in this fight given his experience and the fact that he's been through a full training camp, which I think has been very good.
Bakole will be extremely dangerous in the first half of the fight. It wouldn't surprise me if he treats this fight like a four-round fight, going forward and emptying his tank for a quick stoppage. That might be his best path to victory, because it's going to be very difficult to fight Parker for all 12 rounds at short notice. However, it will be a great fight. Again, I respect both guys for agreeing to fight," Bellew told DAZN News.
As a reminder, Bakole will fight Parker on February 22 alongside the ailing Daniel Dubois.
