"We can both change our style, but I think the rematch will be like the first fight," said Dmitry Bivol (23-1, 12 KOs) ahead of Saturday's fight for all four bantamweight belts against Artur Beterbiev (21-0, 20 KOs).
"I thought he was hitting harder. But others put all their strength into one strong punch, and Beterbiev puts power into every punch, even if he doesn't put any power into it," added the former 79.4-pound champion, who is hungry for revenge for his October defeat.
"There's too much information coming in: trilogy, Canelo, Benavides, but I'm not thinking about the next steps at all. First of all I have a case for Beterbiev and the rest I don't care about. I don't care who will be next, I'm only interested in this rematch and I'm focused solely on him," Bivol added.
"He gave me the toughest fight of my career, so winning the rematch will bring me even more satisfaction than the first fight. I had to face more dangerous punchers than him, physically stronger, but it can be said that this fight was the hardest for Bivol. At first I really wanted to collect all the belts, now I want to defend them no less. Why don't I shake hands with my opponent? He wants to beat me up and hit me as hard as he can. When we deal with each other, then I will be able to shake his hand," said Beterbiev.
Recall that the Saudi prince Turki Al al-Sheikh has already stated that in the case of a successful rematch for Bivol, he would like to hold a trilogy between the two boxers.
