Fabio Wardley says Dillian Whyte hits harder than Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Oleksandr Usyk. The Ipswich-born heavyweight has sparred with all of them and believes Whyte packs the biggest punch.
Wardley turned pro in 2017 without any amateur experience. He's fought 19 times, with one draw against Frazer Clarke. Wardley got his revenge in the rematch, knocking out Clarke in the first round.
The British and Commonwealth heavyweight champ has defended his titles against Nathan Gorman and David Adeleye. He's also sparred with some of the biggest names in boxing.
Wardley told The Sun about his experiences in the ring with top heavyweights:
"But, the single time I've been hit the hardest is Dillian Whyte I think when he's caught me with that quick check left hook a few times and it catches you by surprise."
Wardley has spent time in the ring with Fury, Joshua, and Usyk. He's gone about ten rounds with Joshua and spent a month training in Miami with Filip Hrgovic. But it's Whyte's sneaky left hook that stands out as the hardest shot he's felt.
Whyte will get a chance to show off his power on April 5th when he faces Joe Joyce. He'll need a win to keep his career going strong.
The heavyweight division has been ruled by Fury and Joshua in recent years. But now Usyk holds all the belts as the undisputed champion.
Wardley's next fight hasn't been announced yet. But with his experience sparring the best in the world, he'll be ready for whoever steps in the ring with him.
