Unified world champion in the second middleweight division Saul Alvarez recognized the merits of WBA, WBO and WBC heavyweight titleholder Oleksandr Usyk.
According to Canelo, Usyk deserves to be in the first place in the ranking of the best boxers in the world regardless of weight category.
"Is Usyk the best boxer in the world? Yes, of course he is. He is a very good fighter. I told him the other day that he's damn good. He deserves it," said Alvarez.
Recall that last year Usyk defeated Tyson Fury on points and won the title of absolute world champion in the heavyweight division. Then he gave up the IBF belt for the sake of a rematch with the Briton and defeated him for the second time.
