Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will face off in a big rematch this weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fury wants to get back at Usyk after losing to him for the first time in his career.
The two heavyweights last fought in May, also in Riyadh. Usyk won that fight by split decision. He took Fury's WBC belt and added it to his WBA and WBO titles. But the undisputed status didn't last long. The IBF belt got taken away and Daniel Dubois now holds it.
Fury's promoter Frank Warren told Boxing News that a third fight is already in the works if Fury wins this one.
"Oh, it does [trump all other fights] because it's contracted. And whatever happens that would be the case, if Tyson wins. Provided nobody retires."
Fury agrees that they need to fight three times. He talked about it on the Pound 4 Pound podcast:
"When I win this fight with Usyk then there has to be a third fight. There has to be. Because if you win one and I win one then there has to be a third fight. Regardless who won the second one, there has to be a third fight to see who is the best out of us two. One each, one decider. And that's what I'll look for after that."
Right now, Fury just wants to be the only boxer to beat Usyk. Usyk has been undisputed champion at both cruiserweight and heavyweight. He now holds the WBC, WBA, and WBO belts.
