Oleksandr Usyk remains undefeated in both cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. Daniel Dubois, a heavyweight he's beaten before, still wants another shot at him.
Usyk's record is impressive. He's one of only two fighters, along with Evander Holyfield, to become undisputed champion in both cruiserweight and heavyweight classes. His last fight was a split decision win over Tyson Fury in May, where he hurt Fury badly in one round.
Before that, Usyk faced Dubois in August 2023. He won, but not without controversy. Dubois knocked him down, but the referee called it a low blow. Not everyone in boxing agreed with that call, especially Dubois.
Since then, Usyk has given up his IBF belt. Dubois now holds that title and he's not shy about wanting another crack at Usyk. He recently said:
"I need to get back in the ring and right the wrong. Usyk and I definitely have unfinished business, and it's part of my climb to the top. I was in a dark place before, but now I'm stepping into the light, and I need to settle the score."
But both fighters have other plans first. Dubois will defend his IBF belt against Anthony Joshua on September 21 at Wembley. A record 96,000 people are expected to attend. Dubois sees it as a big opportunity:
"A win over Joshua will elevate me to the top. It will certainly make me the king."
Meanwhile, Usyk is set for a rematch with Tyson Fury in December. After that, he's only interested in fights with Fury and Joshua.

So while Dubois wants another shot at Usyk, he'll have to wait. For now, both fighters have tough challenges ahead that could shape the future of heavyweight boxing.
