Usyk explained why he became a player of FC Polesie
WBA, WBO and WBC heavyweight titleholder Oleksandr Usyk told why he decided to sign a contract with Ukrainian soccer club Polesie.
"It's a dream come true. I'm not dependent on money now, thank God. From sponsors I am independent. I don't have any sponsorship contracts.
The moment is such that it was my dream to play in the UPL. Polesie and the club president Gennady Butkevich realized it. I have realized my dream. It is about the development of the sport, the team and friendship with a man with whom it is very pleasant to talk. Just to have lunch, to ask questions that he has lived, and it's still waiting for me.
And I don't need to learn from him how to get through the difficulties. I need to know how he got through the complexities and what he did when he was having a hard time. Either he cried crocodile tears or said 'no way' and worked," said Usyk in an interview with YouTube channel BUNIVERSITY.
