Bruno told DAZN that Joshua is a "Very lucky man." But he didn't stop there. He also said Joshua's "Better than a lot of people give him credit for. Can punch like a mule."
Joshua has been in the spotlight since he turned pro. Some critics say he had everything handed to him. His first world title came against Charles Martin, who wasn't considered a top-tier opponent.
But Joshua has faced some tough competition. He's beaten Wladimir Klitschko, Kubrat Pulev, Dillian Whyte, and Alexander Povetkin.
Bruno seemed confused about Joshua's loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019.
"I don't know how Teletubby [Andy Ruiz Jr] beat him. When I see him I have to ask him, how did you let Teletubby beat you?"
Joshua avenged that loss later that year. But then he lost twice to Oleksandr Usyk, including an immediate rematch. Bruno worried about Joshua's mental state in those fights.
"He looked a little bit odd. Last minute he was playing around. Crazy times, you try and read people and you think you can understand them but I can't. He looks like a tough boy from Watford but it's scary to think what happened to him."
Now, Joshua's rebuilt his career and aims to become a three-time world champion. He'll fight for the IBF belt against Daniel Dubois next month.
If Joshua wins, he might get a shot at the undisputed title. That could mean facing the winner of the Usyk-Tyson Fury rematch.
Bruno's own career took a while to reach the top. He became heavyweight champion on his fourth try. Some might say Bruno had luck on his side too. He got four chances at a world title and won on his last attempt. But his name's in the history books forever.
