Terence Crawford's Coach Dismisses Potential Matchup: "Hell No"

Terence Crawford, a four-weight world champion, has got everybody talking. The champion's impressive career has made him a hot commodity in the boxing world, with several fighters eager to step into the ring with him.

Crawford's legacy is hard to match. He's currently dismissive of any opponent that's not Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, showing just how high he's set the bar for his next fight.

A few fighters have thrown their hats in the ring. Teofimo Lopez, currently in the super-lightweight division, wants to jump up to face Crawford. Vergil Ortiz is also keen to be Crawford's next super-welterweight test.

But it's Jaron 'Boots' Ennis who's caught the attention of Crawford's coach, Brian McIntyre. The 27-year-old from Philadelphia boasts an impressive 32-0 record with 29 KOs. Ennis is currently focused on collecting all the belts in the 147-pound division but has expressed willingness to follow Crawford to the 154-pound ranks.

In a recent interview with All the Smoke Fight, McIntyre shared his thoughts on Ennis:

"No, he's not ready for Terence. No. Hell no. He makes too many mistakes, man. He gets hit with too much stuff he shouldn't get hit with. I understand he's taking chances, but you gotta be smart in there, young fellow. If you get cracked with one of them with power on it, you gonna feel it and you ain't gonna walk through that. That's how I look at it."

McIntyre acknowledges Ennis as an "all right kid" who "can fight" and sees him as a future star. However, he points out that Ennis isn't quite ready for Crawford yet. The coach believes Ennis makes too many mistakes and takes unnecessary risks in the ring.

Ennis and his father-trainer, Bozy Ennis, might disagree with McIntyre's assessment. They seem confident in Ennis' ability to take on Crawford, even if it means moving up in weight.

As the boxing world watches and waits, Crawford's next move remains uncertain. With his impressive track record and the line-up of potential opponents, fans can expect an exciting match-up, whoever steps into the ring with the four-weight world champion.
