Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) wants to try a new role. "Tank," who regularly gets in trouble with the law, has received special permission to travel to Paris for the Olympics.

Of course, the reigning WBA lightweight professional champion is not going to fight in the French capital in the amateur ring, but he has received an official invitation from the U.S. National Team. Davis is expected to advise and support with good advice to the American boxers during the Olympic tournament.

Davis has been given the green light and will be in France from July 19 to August 12. The Olympic boxing tournament will run from July 27 to Aug. 10.
