Coach of the Ukrainian national boxing team Dmitry Sosnovsky shared his forecast for the fight of the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Alexandra Usika (21-0, 14 KOs) with WBC title holder Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).
“Sanya has an advantage in his talent. He has fast hands and feet. A plus for his team is that he is always in good physical shape. If it weren’t for the last rounds with Joshua, maybe he wouldn’t have been given the victory, but he picked up such a pace there.
I think it will be difficult for Fury to leave Usyk at a distance. In a fight with Tyson, Usik should be as he is. Stay close to Fury, be fast and suffocate him with pace. If he can pick up the pace, be the boss, be in his mind, everything will work out,” Sosnowski said.
The fight between Usik and Fury could take place in early 2024.
